Why do we love this case?

There’s nothing like a true blue Aussie... well... red. Raucously juicy fruit, sizzling spice and seriously sensational complexity. There’s nothing quite like it. We’ve popped six of our faves into this tidy little mix.

Every case contains one of each of the following:

Shiraz 2018

Clare Valley, South Australia

Australian Winery of the Year, Mundus Vini | 5 red star Halliday rated winery

This winery has done it again. Their inimitable Golden Hillside shiraz is a firm ‘fo fave, and consistently one of the fastest selling vinos we bring in. Not surprising, really. Rambunctious cherries and burstingly-juicy berries are just contained by a toasty coating of fabulous French oak. No rush to drink this beauty, it’ll keep the rest of your cellar very good company for a decade, easy.

YOU’D PAY $49.00 full price.

Shiraz 2018

Frankland River, Western Australia

This wine is, without doubt, one of the most popular we’ve ever seen at Vinomofo. Now, get this, without even a hint of hyperbole. We reckon this vintage is even better. We’ve got reach-out-and-grab-you vibrancy of fruit. Vivid, juicy berries, absolutely bursting with flavour. There’s bright acidity bringing real freshness, and a herbaceous crunch that feels like you’re getting your vitamins. Call it ‘bang for your buck’ or ‘wow for your wonga’ or whatever you like, really. But, my word, is it bloody fantastic.

YOU’D PAY $32.00 full price.

Shiraz 2017

McLaren Vale, South Australia

What do you need to make good wine? Well, there’s the land, first of all. McLaren Vale does that damn well. Then you need grapes. Everybody’s favourite naturalised Aussie, shiraz, ticks that box. Finally, you’ll need a hand from the elements. How does a 9/10 vintage sound? Sounds like a bloody good wine actually, and you’re not wrong. It’s classic Vale shiraz. Big, rich dark fruits, mocha and spice, and a touch of French oak to keep it warm. It’s a wickedly fun drop that’s ready to go on a whim whenever you fancy it. Open freely, pour liberally, enjoy deeply!

Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

McLaren Vale, South Australia

92pts James Halliday | Special Value Award - James Halliday | 5 Star Halliday rated winery

This is a jaw-dropping value delight from a Vale winery many a mofo has fallen in love with. This wine is built for fun; its reason for being is to let the good times roll. A fifth of the grapes in this delicious cabernet were dried before pressing in the Italian appassimento style. Not all that common in a cabernet, but it certainly does the job! Think jubilant, ripe fruit flavours with plushness to spare. A solid sprinkling of tannin keeps the edges in check and dribble-inducing flavours of liquered Morello cherry and chocolate abound. Cabernet grapes never lack acidity, and this duly brings the goods. Yummy, fun stuff!

Shiraz Blend 2017

McLaren Vale, South Australia

Ok, mofos, I’m not going mad. First thing I smelt here was olives. Not literal olives, naturally. We’re talking tasting notes here. Alongside that savoury deliciousness sit some rather beautiful berries. Give it a swirl and their perfume is delightfully evident. A handful of strawberries, couple of bluebs, a dribble of plums, and a faint dusting of clove on the finish. It’s the kind of wine that brings people together round the dinner table. Honest, dependable and delicious? Absolutely!

YOU’D PAY $29.00 full price.

Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Limestone Coast, South Australia

Gold - China Wine & Spirits Awards 2019 | Gold - China Wine & Spirits Awards Best Value 2019

Limestone Coast cabernet could be relegated to ‘Coonawarra on a budget’ status. But that’s made near impossible when it’s so damn good. Determined to stand proud, this punches well above its weight. Blackberries, mint, cedar and a world of exotic spice, with beautifully supple tannins, this is as good drinking as it is great value.

YOU’D PAY $37.50 full price.
